Red Amano Medium X 5

The Red Amano Shrimp (Caridina multidentata) is a unique and highly sought-after variation of the classic Amano shrimp, known for its subtle reddish or pinkish hue. This newer strain combines the unmatched algae-eating ability of traditional Amanos with enhanced coloration, making it both functional and visually appealing in any aquarium.

Like their classic counterparts, Red Amano Shrimp are tireless cleaners—constantly grazing on algae, biofilm, detritus, and leftover food. Their semi-translucent bodies now carry a soft red or pink tint, especially noticeable under proper lighting and in planted aquariums.

Growing larger than most dwarf shrimp, these active and hardy shrimp are perfect for hobbyists looking to control algae while adding a unique twist to their aquascape.
